Sin City Gallery is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of 12 Inches of Sin, the world-renowned juried art exhibition that champions bold contemporary art exploring themes of identity, sexuality, and human expression. Now in its eighth iteration, 12 Inches of Sin VIII promises to continue its legacy as a provocative and groundbreaking celebration of the creative spirit.
We are officially inviting artists from around the globe to submit their work for consideration starting January 1, 2025, through April 30, 2025. This is your chance to be part of an exhibition that redefines boundaries, sparks global dialogue, and showcases the power of art to challenge conventions and inspire.
The Submission Process
Artists are encouraged to review the detailed Entry Terms to ensure their submissions meet the exhibition’s criteria. Whether your art pushes boundaries or celebrates the subtle nuances of human expression, 12 Inches of Sin VIII is the platform to share your voice and vision.
Judging Period: May 1 – September 30, 2025
This year’s Selection Committee brings together Sin City Gallery’s esteemed gallerists, Lou Lou Roxy, Paloma Trolia, and Dr. Laura Henkel, each with a keen eye for innovation and excellence. During the judging period, artists may be contacted to provide:
-High-resolution 300 dpi images of submitted works
-Size verification of their artwork
-Additional context or details about specific pieces
The committee will carefully evaluate each submission, ultimately selecting 12 exceptional artists for each of the exhibition’s two categories: 12 Inches of Sin and Le Salon des Refusés. Past Best in Show winners will collaborate with the committee to determine this year’s standout honorees.
Awards and Recognition
On November 1, 2025, winners will be unveiled alongside the release of the 12 Inches of Sin VIII art catalog, available for purchase online.
12 Inches of Sin Best in Show: The premier category will feature 12 invited artists, with the Best in Show winner receiving a $1,200 cash prize, celebrating their unparalleled artistry.
Le Salon des Refusés Best in Show: This second-tier exhibition highlights exceptional works beyond the premier category, with its Best in Show winner earning a $120 cash prize in recognition of their contribution.
