SIN CITY GALLERY’S 12 INCHES OF SIN SUBMISSION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ELIGIBILITY
Sin City Gallery’s 12 Inches of Sin juried art exhibition is open to all artists working in all mediums. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to submit.
SIZE LIMITATION FOR EXHIBITION
No dimension of any submitted artwork may exceed 12 inches (0.3048 meters), and short films/videos must not exceed 1 minute (60 seconds) in duration.
COMPETITION, PROMOTION, AND EVENTS
Exhibited Works:
Invited artists’ works will be exhibited through Sin City Gallery’s and 12 Inches of Sin’s websites, social media platforms, online publications, and print-on-demand catalogs.
Marketing Submitted Works:
Artists are encouraged to promote their submitted works through their own marketing channels. Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin may also promote submitted artworks at their discretion to highlight participating artists.
Social Media Adjustments:
Due to platform “censorship” rules, artists grant Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin permission to modify artworks as needed for compliance. We appreciate your understanding.
Additional Promotional Opportunities:
For any use beyond standard marketing channels, Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin will seek written permission from the artist.
Web Display:
Artworks will be displayed on the sincitygallery.com and 12ofsin.com websites, corresponding social media platforms, and other relevant digital platforms for press coverage.
Sale of Artwork:
Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin will no longer facilitate art sales. Inquiries regarding purchases will be forwarded directly to the artist.
ENTRY FEE
An electronic submission form, including a minimum of three artworks, must be completed with payment of the non-refundable entry fee.
FORMAT OF ONLINE ENTRIES
Images must be uploaded in JPG, JPEG, or TIFF format at 72 dpi. Videos should be submitted as MP4 files (60 seconds maximum in length) and include a URL link for review. Upon request, high-resolution 300 dpi files must be provided for catalog inclusion.
SUBMISSIONS, ARTIST AVAILABILITY, AND JUDGING
Artists must submit a minimum of three artworks and may submit up to 12 total. Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin may request additional information, including photographs for verification.
LIMITS OF TASTE
Artists are responsible for adhering to local laws, customs, and societal standards. Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin reserve the right to disqualify any works deemed offensive or inappropriate.
ARTIST OWNERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY
The artist warrants that all submitted artworks are original, free of third-party claims, and comply with applicable laws. Collaborative works require consent from all co-creators.
Artists are solely responsible for obtaining necessary permissions, releases, and legal documentation. By submitting, the artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin from any claims arising from:
- Failure to obtain proper rights or permissions.
- Copyright disputes.
- Non-compliance with local laws or regulations.
Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin assume no responsibility for verifying the accuracy of submitted documentation.
COMPLIANCE WITH 18 USC § 2256 et seq.
Artists submitting sexually explicit works certify compliance with all legal requirements under 18 USC § 2257 and 2257A. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and legal liability.
LIKENESS OF ARTIST
Artists grant Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin the irrevocable, worldwide right to use their name, image, likeness, and voice for promotional purposes.
LIMITED RIGHTS
Artists grant Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin perpetual rights to reproduce submitted artworks for marketing, promotion, and education. Any further use requires written agreement.
PROCEEDS
Proceeds from the sale, publication, or use of artworks in catalogs or other media will support the mission of Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin.
LIABILITY RELEASE
Artists release Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin from liability for damage, loss, or alteration of artworks during transport or promotional use.
PROMOTER’S DECISIONS FINAL
All decisions by Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin are final and not subject to appeal.
FORCE MAJEURE
Sin City Gallery and 12 Inches of Sin are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by unforeseen events, including natural disasters or global emergencies.
PHYSICAL ARTWORK
Unclaimed artwork from 12 Inches of Sin I–VII is considered abandoned and may be donated or sold. Artists will be notified of sales and receive 50% of proceeds.
PRIVACY POLICY
Artist contact information is collected solely for internal communications and future event announcements. Contact information will not be sold or shared.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By submitting works, artists agree to the rules and terms set forth herein.
