SUBMISSION PROCESS AND TIMELINES

Submissions will be open from January 1 to April 30, 2025. Please review our Entry Terms for detailed information about the juried art exhibition.


JUDGING PERIOD

The judging phase will take place May 1 through September 30, 2025. During this time, artists may be contacted to provide:

  • High-resolution 300 dpi images of submitted works
  • Size verification of the artwork
  • Additional details or context about specific pieces

The Selection Committee—comprising Sin City Gallery gallerists Lou Lou Roxy, Paloma Trolia, and Dr. Laura Henkel—will carefully evaluate all submissions to select 12 artists for each category. The committee will then collaborate with past 12 Inches of Sin’s Best of Show winners to determine:

  • 12 Inches of Sin Best in Show
  • Le Salon des Refusés Best in Show

AWARDS AND ANNOUNCEMENT

Winners will be publicly announced on November 1, 2025, alongside the release of the 12 Inches of Sin VIII art catalog, which will be available for purchase online.

From the premier category, 12 Inches of Sin, 12 artists will be invited to participate. The Best in Show winner will receive a $1,200 cash prize in recognition of their exceptional creativity and achievement.

Because we receive so many exceptional submissions, we often find more than 12 works of art that deserve to be showcased. To celebrate these additional remarkable entries, we created Le Salon des Refusés, a second-tier exhibition. This category will also feature 12 invited artists, and its Best in Show winner will receive a $120 cash prize, honoring their outstanding contribution to the exhibition.

As Sin City Gallery no longer offers solo exhibitions in a physical space, these awards aim to celebrate and elevate the talent of participating artists in innovative and meaningful ways.
